Acne blackheads are also known as open comedones. They are follicles that have a wider than normal opening, and filled with plugs of sebum and sloughed-off cells. They have undergone a chemical reaction resulting in the oxidation of melanin which gives the them the typical black color. There are a few remedies that can be tried when one is trying to get rid of them. One of them is by apply toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed. This should help reduce swelling overnight.
Another could be washing your face twice a day in warm salty water which leaves your face oil free without aggravating the acne. Placing strawberry leaves on the acne is another way that helps reduce the swelling. Alternatively, you could massage the face with the skin of lemon before washing with lukewarm water. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. At least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables should be included in your diet.
You could also rub a couple of crushed garlic cloves on the face 1-2 times a day should help them sooth the pimples. Applying fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight and washing it off with warm water next morning also helps. Grinding orange peel with some water to a paste and then applying it on affected parts also works.
Mix 1 teaspoon lemon juice in 1 teaspoon finely ground cinnamon powder and apply on affected areas frequently.
Nettle Tea is another solution because this tea has a herb that has some curing power and helps with skin problems. Aloe Vera juice applied twice a day can greatly speed up the healing of acne lesions. It can be used straight from the plant, which can be potted in the house. Ice down the acne before bed. By morning it should be noticeably less swollen.
These are a few ways that can be used to deal with blackheads, but it is best to consult a physician for a medical opinion that best suits you as an individual.
