Oily skinned people are more vulnerable to acne attacks than other people. This is because dead cells mix up with the secreted oil and create a favorable environment for the growth of bacteria. It is these bacteria that cause the inflammation and swelling of the skin. There are two methods that can be used to effectively treat acne prone skin. The external method which treats the disease from outside using methods such as cleansing, essential oils, exfoliation and blackhead removal methods, and the internal acne treatment, which is usually aimed at preventing the occurrence of oily skin.
When you have oily skin and many blackheads, extensive scrubbing of the affected area is highly discouraged because it causes irritation. When washing your face, you are advised to use mild antibacterial soaps and cleansers that are made specifically for oily skin, then pat your face dry with a clean towel.
When trying to get rid of your oily skin the first thing that you should consider is you diet. Remove foods such as fries and burgers that have a high fat content. Getting rid of these foods that have lots of fat will not get rid of your oily skin, but it will help by reducing the amount of oiliness on your skins surface. You should also know that what works for one person does not necessarily work for another.
When taking medication to work on the problem from the inside, the aim is to identify the problem and fix the internal cause that makes the sebaceous glands overproduce sebum and the process whereby toxins find their way out through your skin.
